Sustainable Procurement For Lab Products Has Arrived
As the first multi-attribute eco-label focused on sustainability in products and manufacturing for the life sciences industry, MGL has worked with numerous manufacturers and procurement personnel to integrate the ACT label into purchasing policies and decisions.
- ACTivist 50: My Green Lab has created the ACTivist 50, a group of leading manufacturers and suppliers working to promote sustainable procurement in labs. The group meets 4 times annually to discuss opportunities for enhancing sustainability throughout the supply chain and to share best practices.
- Procurement ACTivists: The ACTivist 50 group is mirrored by the Procurement ACTivist group, which includes leading procurement specialists dedicated to establishing sustainable procurement guidelines for laboratory products. The Procurement Activists are now actively incorporating ACT labels into their procurement platforms and RFPs. If you’re interested in reducing impact through procurement and sustainable lab products, we’re actively seeking new members to this team, join us by clicking the button below!
- Academic ACTivists Procurement Group: This collaborative effort aims to leverage cooperative procurement contracts to scale sustainable procurement initiatives, integrate the ACT Ecolabel for lab products into purchasing policies, provide resources for sustainable lab procurement, and highlight the alignment between the lab sustainability goals of E&I and the mission of My Green Lab.
